I thought that my new key looked lonely so I decided to make it a friend in the form of a felt keyring. I hadn’t done any sewing for ages and this is a really fun little project to ease yourself back into making things. I find sewing rather therapeutic. It’s a great way to spend cold, dark evenings and beat the January blues. Here’s how you can make your own friendly felt keyring.
Having Scottish blood myself, I’ve always wanted to celebrate Hogmanay in Scotland and that’s where I was lucky enough to welcome in 2015. As soon as I was invited to spend New Year’s Eve in Scotland, I was on the hunt for the perfect party dress. However, I really struggled to find anything on the high street that felt special enough and high quality without being overpriced. Instead, I waited until I went home to Somerset for Christmas and hit the independent shops in Frome.
As soon as the nights started to draw in, I was on the look out for the perfect winter coat and I think I’ve found it. I wanted a coat that I could wear to work so it (obviously) had to keep me warm but also be smart and stylish. I’m a fan of the relaxed fit and masculine shape of the ‘boyfriend’ trend and I also have a penchant for anything fluffy so this coat fits the bill.
